Wika Sports Joins Forces with APP Tour as Official Paddle Partner for 2026
New Partnership Announcement
The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) has revealed a significant partnership with Wika Sports, designating the company as the Official Premium Paddle Partner for the APP Tour in the upcoming 2026 season. This collaboration, part of the tour's strategy for international expansion, will integrate Wika into various APP Tour events through marketing initiatives, on-site activities, and product showcases. The aim is to give both players and fans direct access to Wika’s paddle offerings at tournament locations.
This initiative underscores the rapid growth of pickleball in Southeast Asia, especially in Vietnam, where grassroots participation is on the rise, bolstered by local talent and investments from domestic brands. Wika’s premium paddles will be featured at several tour stops throughout 2026, including models utilized by international player Quang Duong, allowing fans and players to experience the equipment firsthand during events.
Ryan McSpadden, APP's Chief Revenue Officer, noted that this partnership aligns perfectly with the tour's expansion objectives. He stated, “Vietnam has cultivated a vibrant pickleball community, and Wika’s dedication to the sport makes them an ideal partner for the APP Tour.”
For Wika, this agreement signifies both international visibility and regional pride. Marketing Director Bich Nhuan Dang highlighted the brand's roots and aspirations, saying, “As a brand originating from Vietnam, we take pride in showcasing the energy and growth of pickleball in our area while engaging with players and communities globally. Through this partnership, we aim to foster the sport's development, collaborate with top athletes like Quang Duong, and continue providing high-performance equipment for players at all levels.”
This partnership also aligns with the broader goals of the Global Pickleball Alliance, which seeks to unify stakeholders, create a cohesive competition calendar, and promote the sport's global advancement.
