Sambit Baral Selected for BCCI Emerging Men’s Tournament

Bhubaneswar: Cricketer Sambit Baral from Odisha has secured a spot in Team A for the esteemed BCCI Emerging Men’s Tournament 2026, which is set to take place at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru from July 6 to 24.

His selection was confirmed by the All India Junior and Senior Selection Committees, following an outstanding performance at the BCCI CoE High-Performance Camp for Emerging U-25 Men, held in Bengaluru from April to May this year.

Baral's consistent performances and dedication have earned him this recognition, marking another significant achievement in his burgeoning cricket career and highlighting the talent present in Odisha cricket.

The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) president Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, along with secretary Sanjay Behera and other officials, congratulated Baral on this accomplishment, expressing their best wishes for his success in the upcoming tournament and hoping he continues to thrive in the sport.
