Engagement Ceremony in Lucknow


In Lucknow, Indian cricketer Rinku Singh is preparing to get engaged to Priya Saroj, a Member of Parliament from the Samajwadi Party. The engagement will be held at the luxurious Centrum Hotel, where more than 300 distinguished guests are anticipated, including prominent figures like Akhilesh Yadav, the party president, and his wife Dimple Yadav, who also serves as an MP from Kannauj. The event is set to take place in the hotel's Fulcurn Hall, which has been lavishly decorated with a grand stage measuring 12×16 feet and will feature a selection of the couple's favorite Awadhi cuisine.


As per reports, the engagement menu boasts a variety of dishes such as Mix Veg Raita, Pineapple Raita, Dahi Bhalla, Papad, Paneer Tikka Lababdar, Vegetable Manchurian, Vegetable Hakka Noodles, Bhindi Masala, Imarti-Rabdi, Walnut Brownie, Vanilla Ice Cream, Tea, Coffee, Cookies, Moong Dal Halwa, Shahi Tukda, Lasooni Corn Palak, Dum Aloo Banarasi, Jeera Rice, Dal Lucknowi, Kadhi Pakora, Roti, and Gulab Ki Thandi Kheer. The cost per plate is reported to be around Rs 6,000.


Profile of Priya Saroj


Priya Saroj, aged 26, is the daughter of Tufani Saroj, a three-time MP and current MLA from the Samajwadi Party. A law graduate, she hails from Varanasi and completed her education in Delhi. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, she secured a victory from Machhlishahr, defeating BJP candidate BP Saroj by a margin of over 35,000 votes. Her father confirmed earlier this year that both families had engaged in positive discussions regarding the engagement, and mutual consent was reached.
