A New Chapter for Kuldeep Yadav

Mussoorie: Kuldeep Yadav, the recently crowned T20 World Cup champion, embarked on a new journey as he wed his childhood love, Vanshika Chadha, in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, on Saturday.

As a pivotal player in the Indian cricket team, Kuldeep contributed significantly to their T20 World Cup 2026 triumph, which culminated in a decisive victory against New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The wedding was graced by several prominent cricket figures, including former captains Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Tilak Varma, and Yuzvendra Chahal, who all gathered to celebrate the occasion.

The celebrations kicked off on Friday with a Haldi ceremony, where Yuzvendra Chahal entertained guests by dancing to traditional dhol music while applying haldi to Kuldeep.

Former Indian team fielding coach T. Dilip expressed his joy on social media, stating, "So happy to see @kuldeep_18 marry the love of his life. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and endless blessings. Congratulations!"

Tilak Varma, another player from the T20 World Cup-winning squad, arrived in Dehradun on Saturday afternoon to partake in the wedding festivities.

Speaking to reporters outside Jolly Grant Airport, Tilak mentioned, "We’re going to Kuldeep’s wedding to have fun. After that, we’ll prepare for IPL." He is set to represent the Mumbai Indians, the five-time champions, in the upcoming Indian Premier League 2026.

Both Kuldeep and Vanshika hail from Kanpur and got engaged in a private ceremony in Lucknow on June 4, 2025. Vanshika, who works in Australia and is the daughter of an LIC employee, has known Kuldeep for many years. The wedding was initially scheduled for November 2025 but was postponed due to the World Cup.
