Reports indicate that head coach Gautam Gambhir and chief selector Ajit Agarkar have not communicated with Kohli or Rohit Sharma for an extended period, leading to a perceived disconnect within the Team India dressing room. Gautam Gambhir can be seen seated a short distance away. Earlier, Ojha was spotted next to Gambhir before meeting Rohit Sharma, where they exchanged smiles and a handshake. Ojha and Rohit share a history as former teammates at the Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
The second ODI is scheduled for December 3 in Raipur. In the first ODI held on November 30 in Ranchi, both Kohli and Rohit played pivotal roles in India's 17-run victory. Kohli scored his 52nd ODI century with an impressive 135 runs, while Rohit achieved his third consecutive fifty-plus score in ODIs.
It is noteworthy that both Rohit and Kohli are currently focused solely on ODI cricket. They stepped back from T20 internationals following the 2024 T20 World Cup and announced their retirement from Test cricket in May 2025, taking a break for several months thereafter.
