India's Chase for Victory

As the final day of the third Test at Lord's approaches, all eyes are on India's quest for 193 runs with six wickets remaining. Despite facing a challenging situation at 58 for 4 at the end of Day 4, Washington Sundar remains optimistic, asserting that India will emerge victorious.

In a conversation with Sky Sports alongside former England captain Nasser Hussain and Sri Lankan cricket legend Kumar Sangakkara, Sundar confidently predicted an Indian win. "India is definitely going to win tomorrow, likely in the first session," he stated, reflecting the team's strong belief and momentum.

When asked about the timing of the win, Sundar suggested that the target could be reached "probably just after lunch." This optimism follows India's impressive bowling display that restricted England to 192 all out in their second innings.

Sundar played a crucial role with the ball, claiming four key wickets, including those of star batsmen Joe Root, Ben Stokes, and Jamie Smith, while conceding just 22 runs in 12.1 overs. His disciplined spin bowling was pivotal in dismantling England's batting order, putting India in a commanding position.

The Tamil Nadu bowler praised the team's bowling effort, especially the fast bowlers who maintained pressure throughout the day. "The way we bowled, particularly the fast bowlers, was incredible," Sundar remarked.

Although India's batting faced early challenges, the team possesses the skill and experience to chase down the remaining runs. With six wickets in hand, players like captain Shubman Gill will need to stabilize the innings and pursue the target with composure.

However, England is not expected to back down easily. India's assistant coach Marcus Trescothick warned, "We will take six wickets in the first hour tomorrow," setting the stage for an exhilarating final day.

With Washington Sundar's confidence and the team's overall strong performance, India seems poised to secure a crucial 2-1 lead in this five-match series. If they can weather the initial storm and build partnerships, a historic win at Lord's is well within their grasp.
