Kohli Achieves Milestones: 800 Fours and 300 Sixes
Virat Kohli made history by becoming the first player in the Indian Premier League (IPL) to hit 800 fours. He reached this remarkable milestone during his innings of 81 runs in the match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) on Friday.
With a total of 807 boundaries in 274 IPL matches, Kohli holds the record for the most fours in the tournament's history, significantly ahead of Shikhar Dhawan, who has 768. Additionally, Kohli is now among the elite group of players who have hit 300 sixes in IPL, joining Chris Gayle (357 sixes) and Rohit Sharma (310 sixes). Currently, Kohli has 303 sixes to his name.
In his innings against GT, Kohli scored 81 runs off 44 balls, which included eight fours and four sixes. This performance also earned him the Orange Cap as the leading run-scorer in IPL 2026.

In the match, Kohli, alongside Devdutt Padikkal, played a crucial role in leading RCB to a thrilling victory by successfully chasing a target of 206 runs with seven balls remaining.
