A star-studded charity dinner was hosted by Yuvraj Singh to benefit his YouWeCan Foundation, attracting numerous cricket legends. The event took place in an upscale hotel and featured prominent figures from the cricketing world. Among the attendees was the entire Indian cricket team, with Gautam Gambhir making a notable appearance for about an hour. Other cricket icons such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, Brian Lara, Kevin Pietersen, and Ashish Nehra were also in attendance.


Kohli's Heartfelt Tribute

During the event, host Gaurav Kapoor encouraged Virat Kohli to take the stage, expressing how much fans missed his presence on the field. Kohli humorously responded, "I just colored my beard two days ago. You know it’s time when you are coloring your beard every four days."


Kohli then shared his deep connection with Yuvraj Singh, commending him for his inspiring comeback after overcoming cancer. He reminisced about their first meeting during a North Zone tournament in Bangalore, where Yuvraj, along with other senior players, mentored him as he began his international career. Kohli expressed gratitude for the support he received, which helped him grow both as a player and as a person.


He recalled a memorable match against England in Cuttack during the 2017 series, where Yuvraj scored a remarkable 150 runs, alongside MS Dhoni's impressive 110. Kohli reflected on the joy of witnessing such performances, stating, "I have a lot of love and respect for him. It’s a pleasure being here, and I wouldn’t do this for anyone else but him."
