As the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) gear up to defend their title in the Indian Premier League (IPL), star batsman Virat Kohli has rallied his teammates with an encouraging message. He emphasized the importance of staying focused during training, as the challenges ahead will only intensify.


RCB's title defense will commence against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 28 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Following his first IPL championship win in his 18th season with RCB, Kohli is eager to deliver another thrilling performance that will excite fans and keep statisticians busy.


The team has resumed training at their home ground, bringing a renewed sense of determination and intensity to their preparations.


Kohli's Motivational Speech

During the initial practice session, Kohli addressed the squad, as reported by RCB's press release. He stated, "We have put in significant effort over the past few seasons to achieve last year's success, and the competition will be fiercer this time around." He stressed the importance of maintaining high standards from the beginning, urging, "Let’s not waste any time. We need to be fully engaged and give our all during these two and a half months."

The practice session also marked the integration of new players into the squad, with Head Coach Andy Flower welcoming additions such as Indian all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer, Mangesh Yadav, Jordan Cox, Vicky Ostwal, and Satvik Deswal. He also acknowledged Under-19 World Cup champions Kanishk Chouhan and Vihaan Malhotra. Flower remarked, "We had an intriguing auction, and I believe we have enhanced our squad significantly. Integrating these new talents with established players like Kohli and Rajat Patidar is an exciting phase for us."
