Virat Kohli Celebrates Historic IPL Victory with Royal Challengers Bengaluru
Kohli Achieves IPL Glory
On Tuesday night, Virat Kohli fulfilled a significant milestone in his illustrious career by securing his first Indian Premier League title with Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Reflecting on this achievement, he expressed how this victory completes his collection of major trophies, which already includes the ICC T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup, and Champions Trophy.
With a mix of relief and satisfaction, Kohli shared that this IPL title was the last piece he had been striving for.
“I have a limited time to play this game. There’s a conclusion to every career, and when I eventually retire, I want to look back and know I gave it my all. I constantly seek ways to enhance my game,” Kohli remarked after the match.
The RCB veteran recognized the importance of clinching an IPL title, particularly given the tournament's prominence in contemporary cricket.
“As an athlete, you strive for success, and this tournament is intense and of high quality, holding significant value in global cricket today. I aim to win major tournaments, and this title was the one I was missing,” he stated.
Kohli, who played a crucial role throughout the season, highlighted his ambition to contribute in ways beyond just batting.
“I don’t want to be just an impact player; I aim to field for the entire 20 overs and make a difference. That’s the type of player I aspire to be. I feel blessed with the talent and perspective to help the team in various ways,” he added.
Kohli Completes His Trophy Collection
With this triumph, Virat Kohli joins an exclusive group of athletes who have won every major white-ball title in Indian sports. The IPL trophy was the only accolade missing from his impressive list, which includes the 2011 ODI World Cup, the Champions Trophy in 2013 and 2025, and the T20 World Cups in 2007 and 2024.
In a heartfelt moment, Kohli revealed how deeply the victory resonated with him after years of hard work.
“To finally achieve this is an incredible feeling. I never imagined this day would arrive; I was overwhelmed with emotion after the final ball was bowled. I poured every ounce of my energy into this, and it feels amazing,” he expressed.
For over a decade, Kohli has been the face of RCB's quest for success, often falling short despite remarkable individual performances. However, in IPL 2025, everything finally came together.
