Spiritual Visit to Hanumangarhi Temple

On Sunday, former Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, made a spiritual visit to the Hanumangarhi Temple in Ayodhya. This visit came shortly after Kohli's surprising announcement regarding his retirement from Test cricket, which sent shockwaves through the cricket community. The couple was seen engaging in prayers and conversing with temple priests, accompanied by officials from the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Kohli, who is known for his spiritual inclinations alongside Anushka, had previously visited Vrindavan right after stepping back from red-ball cricket. Their recent trip to Ayodhya underscores their commitment to their spiritual roots, even amidst the busy IPL season.

Temple priest Sanjay Das shared his thoughts with the media after their visit, commending the couple for their devotion and humility.

"Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are religious individuals with a significant reputation globally. They sought blessings from Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman, and we discussed spirituality," he stated.

Kohli's visit is particularly notable as it precedes RCB's crucial final league match against LSG on May 27.

RCB's Aspirations and Kohli's Performance

Currently, RCB is positioned third on the points table with 8 victories and 4 defeats from 13 matches. A win in their upcoming match against the Lucknow Super Giants could elevate them to a top-two finish, contingent on other match outcomes.

Virat Kohli has been in exceptional form this season, amassing 548 runs across 12 matches. His average stands at an impressive 60.88, with a strike rate of 145.30, demonstrating his continued prowess even after his departure from the longest format of the game.

Kohli's presence in Ayodhya before such a pivotal match has sparked excitement among fans and followers, many interpreting it as a source of spiritual fortitude and clarity for his cricketing future. A large crowd gathered outside the temple, eager to catch a glimpse of the couple.
