Varun Chakaravarthy's Milestone Achievement

In a remarkable feat, India's enigmatic spinner Varun Chakaravarthy has achieved a significant milestone by claiming his 200th wicket in T20 cricket. This accomplishment occurred during the IPL 2026 match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the renowned Eden Gardens on Sunday. With this achievement, Chakaravarthy becomes the 20th Indian bowler to reach the 200-wicket milestone in T20s and the 10th Indian spinner to do so, highlighting his consistent performance in this fast-paced format.

KKR Bowlers Dominate Royals

In the match, Rajasthan Royals struggled to reach a total of 155 runs for 9 wickets, thanks to a stellar bowling display from Kolkata Knight Riders. Chakaravarthy led the charge with his three-wicket haul, marking his 200th T20 wicket, while Kartik also contributed with three wickets, effectively applying pressure during the middle and death overs.

Rajasthan started strong with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scoring 46 and Yashasvi Jaiswal adding 39, putting together 63 runs without losing a wicket in the powerplay. However, KKR quickly turned the game around after the initial six overs, with Chakaravarthy dismissing Sooryavanshi and Riyan Parag, while Sunil Narine took out Jaiswal.

A late-game collapse saw Rajasthan lose their grip, resulting in a disappointing total. KKR now requires 156 runs to clinch their first victory of IPL 2026 and maintain their playoff aspirations.
