Insights from Suryavanshi Post-Match

"I was unaware that I had set a new record. Shubman Gill's performances, especially his 100 and 200, inspired me greatly. He maintained his momentum and pushed forward," Suryavanshi stated in an interview with BCCI after the match.

"I believe I could have batted longer. There were still 20 overs remaining. I got out attempting a shot that I couldn't execute perfectly, but I aspire to play a longer innings like him. There’s no celebration for me; I’m just pleased to have contributed to the team. My next target is to score 200 and play the entire 50 overs," he added.

In the match, India U19 posted a total of 363/9 in their allotted 50 overs, bolstered by centuries from Suryavanshi (143 off 78 balls) and Vihaan Malhotra (129 off 121 balls). For the English side, Sebastian Morgan (3/54 in 10 overs) and Jack Home (4/63 in 8 overs) were notable wicket-takers.

The English openers started strong, forming a century partnership. However, despite Rocky Flintoff's impressive 107 runs off 91 balls, the middle-order struggled to contribute significantly. Naman Pushpak's three wickets (3/63 in 8.3 overs) helped secure a 55-run victory for the visitors.
