In a stunning display of talent, India's young cricket prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored an impressive 94 runs off just 29 balls during the tri-series final against Sri Lanka A at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Sunday. This performance included the fastest half-century in List A cricket history.

The 15-year-old opener made history by reaching his first fifty for India A in a mere 11 balls, breaking the previous record of 12 balls held by Sri Lanka's Kaushalya Weeraratne for over twenty years.

Sooryavanshi unleashed a barrage of powerful shots against the Sri Lankan bowlers, hitting 10 fours and 8 sixes, which put India A in a dominant position after they chose to bat first.

On the brink of a century, needing just six more runs, Sooryavanshi aimed to match the record for the fastest List A hundred, currently held by Australia's Jake Fraser-McGurk, who achieved the feat in 29 balls. Unfortunately, Sri Lanka A's captain Sahan Arachchige dismissed him in the ninth over, leaving him just short at 94.
