Chikmagalur (Karnataka) [India], May 4: In an impressive display of skill, Vaibhav Marathe from Goa clinched the top position at the Chikmagalur Gravel Fest 2025, which marked the first round of the JK Tyres FMSCI Indian National Autocross Championship (INAC) 2025. The event took place at Survey 85 on Sangnipura Road in Kurvangi Grama. Marathe, representing JK Tyres, secured victory with a remarkable time of 02:57.876 seconds, overcoming fierce competition from his teammate Syed Salman.
Aeman finished in third place with a time of 03:01.786 seconds, while Salman clocked in at 02:59.687 seconds. This event served as a qualifying round for the FMSCI Indian National Autocross Championship 2025.
In the INAC 1 2000 CC class, Syed Salman emerged victorious with a time of 02:59.169 seconds, followed by Chetan Shivram and Aeman in second and third places, respectively. Marathe, however, finished fourth in this category. Ashad Pasha topped the INAC 2 1650 CC class, with Aeman and Syed Salman taking second and third positions. Salman continued his winning streak by also claiming victory in the INAC 2 1450 CC and INAC 2 1100 CC classes. Azveer won the INAC 2 800 CC class, while Zeeshan Mohammed triumphed in the INAC 3 category. In the Women’s category, Shameena CP finished first with a time of 03:41.004.
This event, sanctioned by the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) and adhering to the 2025 FIA International Sporting Code, is one of seven qualifying rounds for the INAC Cup circuit. To qualify for the Grand Finals, drivers must compete in at least two rounds, with only the top five finishers in each class earning a spot in the final championship showdown, where the best in Indian autocross will be crowned. The event was promoted by Octane Pits, led by Lokesh Gowda, and organized by the Motor Sports Club of Chikmagalur (MSCC) in collaboration with JK Tyre Motorsport.
