Urvil Patel achieved a remarkable feat by scoring the joint-fastest half-century in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, propelling the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to a convincing five-wicket win against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday.


In pursuit of a challenging target of 204 runs, CSK's captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sanju Samson provided a fiery start, amassing 11 runs in the opening over bowled by Mohammed Shami, followed by 15 runs from Prince Yadav's over. Digvesh Singh Rathi entered the bowling attack in the fourth over, where Samson greeted him with a four and a six before being dismissed on the fourth delivery. Samson scored 28 runs off 14 balls, including three fours and two sixes.


Patel came to the crease next and quickly got off the mark with a single. He then launched into Avesh Khan, hitting three consecutive sixes in the following over.
