Union Minister Highlights Sports Promotion at Sansad Khel Mahotsav in Telangana

Yadadri Bhuvanagiri (Telangana) [India], March 23: During the Sansad Khel Mahotsav held in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Union Minister BL Verma commended the advancement of sports in India.
He acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi's significant contributions to enhancing athletic performance, referencing notable victories such as the Indian women's cricket team winning the World Cup last year and the national team securing the T20 World Cup earlier this month, which he described as remarkable achievements in sports promotion.
Verma stated, “The newly appointed Governor of Telangana, Shiv Pratap Shukla, and I have been involved in these efforts. I extend my congratulations to K. Laxman for organizing this event. Under the Prime Minister's guidance, sports are being actively promoted, leading to our athletes earning record medals in both the Olympics and Paralympics. Just a few months ago, our daughters triumphed in the cricket World Cup, followed by our players winning the T20 World Cup. Such miracles occur when sports receive the necessary support,” he remarked.
BJP MP K Laxman, speaking at the Sansad Khel Mahotsav, emphasized that the event was organized in line with Prime Minister Modi's vision to support athletes ahead of the upcoming Commonwealth Games.
He expressed optimism that these initiatives would uplift players' spirits and contribute to India achieving a historic medal tally at the Games, in line with the Prime Minister's aspiration for a developed India by 2047.
Laxman stated, “In accordance with Prime Minister Modi's directives, the MP Khel Mahotsav has been organized... The Prime Minister envisions a developed India by 2047... These programs are designed to inspire and motivate our athletes for the Commonwealth Games to be hosted in our country... Our players are set to win a record number of medals at the Commonwealth Games.”
The Sansad Khel Mahotsav serves as a sports and fitness festival aimed at fostering a culture of sports and leadership among the youth. A primary goal is to unite the community through sports and fitness, promoting the message of 'Fit India' to every household.
