In a remarkable achievement, Punjab Kings (PBKS) opening batsmen Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya have made history by becoming the first uncapped pair to surpass 1000 partnership runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL). This milestone was reached during their match against the Mumbai Indians (MI) at HPCA Stadium on Thursday. The duo contributed 50 runs for the first wicket before Deepak Chahar claimed Arya's wicket for 22 runs in the last over of the powerplay.


Priyansh Arya Joins Elite Club

With his innings of 22, Priyansh Arya has become the second uncapped Indian player to score over 350 runs in each of his first two IPL seasons. He previously scored 475 runs in 2025 and has amassed 357* runs in 2026, joining the ranks of Ambati Rayudu, who recorded 356 runs in 2010 and 395 runs in 2011.


Prabhsimran Shines with Half-Century

Prabhsimran Singh celebrated his second half-century of the season against the Mumbai Indians, reaching the milestone in the 11th over with a spectacular six.
