UEFA Announces Champions League Final Hosts for 2028 and 2029

UEFA Champions League Finals Set for Munich and Barcelona

Thessaloniki, Greece - On September 15, the UEFA Executive Committee officially designated the Munich Football Arena in Germany and Camp Nou in Barcelona as the venues for the UEFA Champions League finals in 2028 and 2029, respectively.

This decision was made during a meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee in Thessaloniki, where various UEFA finals hosts were revealed, as noted on the UEFA website.

The 2028 UEFA Champions League final will take place at the Munich Football Arena, while the iconic Camp Nou in Barcelona is set to host the 2029 final.

Additionally, the committee announced the venues for the UEFA Women’s Champions League finals, with OL Stadium in Lyon-Décines selected for the 2028 final and the National Stadium of Wales in Cardiff chosen for the 2029 event.

For the UEFA Europa League, the 2028 final will be held at the National Arena in Bucharest, while the National Stadium of Serbia in Belgrade will host the 2029 final.

The UEFA Conference League finals are scheduled for Juventus Stadium in Turin in 2028 and Puskás Aréna in Budapest in 2029.

Moreover, the UEFA Super Cup venues have been confirmed, with Johan Cruyff ArenA in Amsterdam hosting the 2027 edition and Astana Arena in Astana set to stage the 2028 match.

In addition, Biel/Bienne Arena in Switzerland has been appointed as the host for the 2027 UEFA Futsal Champions League final.

The UEFA Executive Committee also approved changes to the promotion and relegation system for the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League, ensuring a seamless transition to the new format that was approved in May 2026.

Under this new structure, the UEFA Nations League will consist of three leagues instead of four starting from the 2028/29 edition.

The next UEFA Executive Committee meeting is scheduled to take place in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on December 7, following the UEFA EURO 2028 qualifying draw in the same city.
