Dramatic Finish in Inglewood

In a thrilling encounter in Inglewood, California, Kaan Ayhan netted the decisive goal in the dying moments, leading Turkey to a 3-2 victory over the United States on Thursday night, marking their sole win in the World Cup.

The match kicked off with Auston Trusty scoring for the Americans just three minutes in, but Turkey quickly responded with goals from Arda Guler and Orkun Kokcu in the first half. Sebastian Berhalter equalized for the U.S. early in the second half, but it wasn't enough.

Despite having already secured their place in the knockout stage after wins against Paraguay and Australia, U.S. coach Mauricio Pochettino opted for a lineup with nine changes. Notably, Christian Pulisic made his return from injury, coming on in the 58th minute.

The dramatic finish came in the eighth minute of stoppage time when Can Uzun found Ayhan at the back post, who slid the ball past goalkeeper Matt Turner to seal the win for Turkey.
