Thomas Frank Takes the Helm at Tottenham

London [UK], June 13: Tottenham Hotspur has officially named Thomas Frank as their new head coach, signing him to a contract that extends until 2028. This decision comes after the club parted ways with Ange Postecoglou, who had recently led them to a historic Europa League victory, ending a 17-year trophy drought.

Frank, who previously managed Brentford for seven successful years, is recognized for his innovative coaching style and ability to develop players. Tottenham expressed their excitement about his appointment, highlighting his impressive track record in squad development.

Joining Frank from Brentford are assistant coach Justin Cochrane, head of performance Chris Haslam, and first team coach analyst Joe Newton. Additionally, Andreas Georgson will come on board as an assistant coach from Manchester United.

Taking over a team that faced a challenging Premier League season, finishing 17th with 22 losses and only 38 points, Frank has a significant task ahead. However, he has the opportunity to secure his first trophy with Tottenham when they face Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Super Cup on August 13 in Udine, Italy.

Following Frank's departure, Brentford's director of football, Phil Giles, praised him for his contributions, stating, 'It has been a pleasure working alongside Thomas. His coaching ability and emotional intelligence have been pivotal in transforming the club.' He reminisced about memorable moments, including the play-off final at Wembley and their first Premier League match against Arsenal.

With this new chapter, Frank will reconnect with Tottenham's technical director Johan Lange, with whom he previously worked at Lyngby. In his final season at Brentford, he led the team to a commendable 10th place finish with 56 points.
