Significant Changes in ICC T20I Rankings

In Dubai, UAE, Tim David from Australia and South Africa's Dewald Brevis have made impressive strides in the ICC T20I rankings. Meanwhile, Pakistan's top batsman Babar Azam has fallen to third place, allowing India's ODI captain Rohit Sharma to take the second position.

David, who has emerged as the leading run-scorer following two matches against South Africa, has surged six positions to reach a career-best 10th place in the Men's T20I Batting Rankings. His teammate Cameron Green also climbed six spots, now sitting at 17th.

For South Africa, the young talent Brevis has rocketed to the 21st position after previously being outside the top 100, thanks to his record-breaking performance in Darwin. He scored an explosive 125*, which helped the Proteas level the three-match series at 1-1.

Brevis's maiden T20I century marks the highest score by a South African player in just his ninth match in this format. Additionally, his teammate Tristan Stubbs has moved up 12 spots to tie for 27th in the T20I batting rankings.

In the T20I Bowling rankings, Australia's Josh Hazlewood has advanced three places to 20th. South African bowlers Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi have also made significant gains, with Rabada rising 15 spots to 44th and Ngidi climbing 14 spots to 50th.

Turning to the Men's Test rankings, several New Zealand players celebrated their success after a dominant 2-0 series victory over Zimbabwe.

Veteran bowler Matt Henry was named Player of the Series, taking 16 wickets at an impressive average of 9.12. He has now reached a new career-high rating and moved up to third in the Test Bowling Rankings, pushing Australia’s captain Pat Cummins down to fourth.

In the batting category, Rachin Ravindra has jumped 15 places to 23rd, while Devon Conway and Henry Nicholls have also improved their standings, moving to 37th and 47th respectively due to their strong performances in Zimbabwe.

In the ODI rankings, Babar Azam has dropped to third place among batters following a disappointing series against the West Indies, where he managed only 56 runs across three matches at an average of 18.66.

In the ODI Bowling Rankings, West Indies spinner Gudakesh Motie has climbed five spots to 12th after taking a wicket in each of the first two matches of the series. His teammate Jayden Seales has made a significant leap of 24 places to 33rd, while Pakistan's Abrar Ahmed has moved up three spots to 54th.
