I am incredibly grateful to CoE and BCCI. The atmosphere was electric, and it motivated me to play aggressively, especially watching Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma perform so well," he stated in a video shared by the BCCI.

Tilak is tasked with filling the significant role of Virat Kohli at the number four position, a spot Kohli dominated for over a decade. In his brief T20I career, Tilak has excelled, amassing 542 runs in 15 matches at an average of 60.22 and a strike rate of 160.83, including two centuries and three fifties, both centuries scored during the series in South Africa.
