Arrests Made Over Ticket Scalping in Cuttack
Cuttack: Authorities have detained four individuals for their involvement in the illegal resale of tickets for the upcoming T20 match between India and South Africa at Barabati Stadium, as reported by local police.
Officers from the Bidanasi police station confiscated 12 tickets being sold at marked-up prices, while an additional nine tickets were retrieved from the Dargha Bazar area.
In total, four distinct cases have been registered at both police stations regarding this matter.
Cuttack's Deputy Commissioner of Police, Khilari Rishikesh Dnyandeo, emphasized that stringent measures are being implemented against those participating in ticket scalping.
To manage the expected influx of fans, traffic regulations have been established throughout the city.
A police statement advised commuters to prepare for heavy traffic on routes leading to the stadium due to team movements and match-related activities scheduled for December 8 and 9, 2025, urging them to adhere to traffic personnel's guidance.
Traffic restrictions will be enforced from noon to 9 PM on Monday and from 8 AM until the match concludes on Tuesday.
