West Indies Posts Competitive Total in Kolkata


Kolkata: In a crucial Super 8 T20 World Cup match held in Kolkata on Sunday, Jasprit Bumrah made a significant impact by taking two wickets during the middle overs. Despite his efforts, the West Indies managed to score a formidable 195 runs for the loss of four wickets against India.


After being asked to bat first, Roston Chase contributed 40 runs, while Shai Hope added 32, forming a solid 68-run partnership for the opening wicket until Varun Chakaravarthy (1/40) dismissed Hope.


Bumrah (2/36) then struck twice in quick succession, leaving the West Indies at 103 for three in the 12th over.
