Tejal Rajendra Salve's Medal Triumph
Tejal Rajendra Salve, an 18-year-old compound archer representing the Vijayi Bharat Foundation (VBF), brought home two medals for India at the Archery Asia Cup - Stage 1 held in Bangkok. Hailing from Jalna, Maharashtra, she clinched a bronze in the Women's Individual Compound event on Friday and also earned a silver medal as part of the Indian Women's Compound Team.
Recent Achievements
Tejal has been gaining recognition in the Indian Archery scene over the past few months. She was part of the team that set a new U-21 World Record in compound archery. Additionally, her impressive performance at SAI Sonipat secured her a spot on the Indian team for the upcoming Asia Cup - Stage 2 in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq.
Medal Match Details
In the bronze medal match, Tejal triumphed over Mariia Dimidiuk from AIN with a score of 144 to 138. She, along with teammates Raj Kaur and Chikitha Taniparthi, narrowly missed out on gold, finishing with a score of 227 against Kazakhstan's 229.
