Tamil Thalaivas Set for a Fresh Start

Following disappointing performances in previous seasons, the Tamil Thalaivas are eager to improve their standing in the upcoming Pro Kabaddi League 2025 (PKL 2025).

The team has struggled to advance past the league stage for the last two years, having qualified for the playoffs in 2022 but failing to make it beyond the league phase in 2023 and 2024. Last season, they ended up in ninth place with eight victories out of 22 matches.

In response to their lackluster performance, the Thalaivas made significant changes by parting ways with their coaches, Udayakumar and Dharmaraj Cheralathan. They have now brought in Sanjeev Baliyan, a coach with two PKL titles to his name, in hopes of turning their fortunes around.

Additionally, they have secured Pawan Sehrawat, a former captain of the Telugu Titans, for INR 59.50 lacs. Sehrawat is known for his all-around skills, with more than 1300 raid points and 70 tackle points from 139 games.
