On September 27, during a gripping Super 4 match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav offered consolation to Sri Lanka's Dunith Wellalage. The young player, aged just 22, had recently rejoined the team following the unexpected death of his father, Suranga Wellalage, who passed away due to a heart attack.


After India's narrow victory in a tense Super Over, Yadav reached out to Wellalage, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder and embracing him while sharing encouraging words. This heartfelt gesture resonated with both players and fans, highlighting the camaraderie that transcends national boundaries in cricket.


On the pitch, India maintained their unbeaten streak in the tournament with another close win. They batted first, scoring 202 runs for 5 wickets, with Abhishek Sharma leading the charge with an explosive 61 runs off just 31 balls, marking his third consecutive half-century.
