Emotional Farewell for Ashok Kumar Yadav

Suryakumar Yadav recently delivered a heartfelt speech at the retirement ceremony of his father, Ashok Kumar Yadav, who has concluded his career as an electrical engineer. Ashok served at the esteemed Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in Mumbai. The farewell event was attended by family members, including Surya.

During his speech, Surya shared insights into his father's dedication and character, highlighting his commitment to his work and the relationships he built with colleagues. With a touch of humor, Surya mentioned that his father's former colleagues would now need to speak with his mother before reaching out to him. He also expressed gratitude for his father's unwavering support throughout his life, recalling fond memories of being dropped off at school and having his lunch prepared.

"He is a Superman-like figure, someone from whom you learn a lot. Definitely, in my life, it was always my papa (father) who has supported me so much in my career. Because I had no idea what was ahead. But with time, it got clear."

Surya continued, reflecting on the daily routines instilled by his father, saying,

"My father woke up in the morning, packed my lunch box, dropped me off at school so that I wouldn't run away, and then had to leave college before I ended up sneaking out by jumping the gate... So all these little things... like we play Test cricket from 9 to 5, and then coming back home, and then get ready again to leave for the office the next morning, and then come back at 6 in the evening... not dragging office chaos to home... I have learned these things from him."
