Sanctions Imposed on Players

Dubai: The ICC has found India's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav and Pakistan's fast bowler Haris Rauf guilty of violating the code of conduct during the Asia Cup held in the UAE, resulting in penalties for both players.

Rauf received two financial fines of 30% each for distinct incidents that occurred during matches against India, which will also lead to a two-match suspension in the upcoming ODI series against South Africa scheduled for November 4 and 6.

Suryakumar was similarly fined 30% of his match fees for comments deemed to have brought the game into disrepute, as he expressed support for the Indian armed forces and solidarity with victims of the Pahalgam terror attack.

In the match on September 14, Rauf was penalized for the same offense, incurring a 30% fine on his match fee and accumulating two demerit points.

In another encounter against India, Rauf again breached Article 2.21, resulting in an additional 30% fine and two more demerit points.

Jasprit Bumrah received one demerit point, while Arshdeep Singh and Sahibzada Farhan were not penalized.
