Guwahati: In the second Test match held here on Saturday, South Africa's captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and chose to bat first against India.


Currently, South Africa leads the two-match series 1-0, having secured a victory in the first Test in Kolkata by a margin of 30 runs.


Rishabh Pant has stepped in as India's captain, replacing Shubman Gill, who is sidelined due to a neck injury sustained during the first Test.


India has made two additional changes to their lineup, bringing in B Sai Sudharsan and Nitish Kumar Reddy to replace Gill and Axar Patel.


On the other hand, South Africa has made one adjustment, with Senuran Muthusamy taking the place of Corbin Bosch.
