Smriti Mandhana Achieves Milestone of 10,000 Runs in Women's International Cricket

On Sunday, Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana made history by becoming the second Indian and the fourth overall female cricketer to score 10,000 runs in women's international cricket during the fourth T20I match against Sri Lanka.

Mandhana reached this remarkable milestone at the Greenfield International Stadium, scoring 27 runs, with her 10,000th run coming from a single off the bowling of Nimasha Meepage.

She joins the ranks of Indian cricketer Mithali Raj, England's Charlotte Edwards, and New Zealand's Suzie Bates, who have previously achieved this feat.

Notably, Smriti holds the record for the fewest innings taken to reach 10,000 runs, accomplishing this in just 281 innings. Mithali Raj follows her in this regard, having reached the milestone in 291 innings, while Charlotte and Suzie achieved it in 308 and 314 innings, respectively.
