Nikhoriya Claims Boys Under-16 Singles Title
Siddharth Nikhoriya emerged victorious in the Boys Under-16 Singles category at the Surya Pickleball Tournament, a PWR 100 event sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association, held in Indore on March 28. Nikhoriya showcased a steady and strategic performance, winning the match with a score of 11-6 against Advik Jain. He set the tone early in the game, utilizing precise placements and intelligent shot choices to keep Jain under pressure. Despite Jain's persistent efforts, Nikhoriya maintained his lead throughout the match, ultimately securing the win without allowing any late-game resurgence.
Panth Singhai finished in third place, contributing to a highly competitive atmosphere in the Boys U16 division. The matches highlighted the increasing talent pool in junior pickleball within Madhya Pradesh, with players demonstrating enhanced skills, court awareness, and tactical discipline.
The U-16 competition was part of the broader Surya Pickleball Tournament, which featured 90 participants competing across 18 different categories, underscoring the rapid growth of pickleball in India.
