RCB's IPL Triumph and Mallya's Reaction

Following the Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) victory in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), the cricket community celebrated the achievement, particularly praising star player Virat Kohli. Siddharth Mallya, son of former RCB owner Vijay Mallya, shared his excitement through a video on Instagram. However, the celebration was short-lived as the platform removed the video due to copyright issues.

In his video, Mallya expressed his disbelief, stating, “Instagram decided to take down my video and even banned me from using the app.” He further explained, “The ban was lifted yesterday. After investigating, I learned that IPL had filed a complaint, claiming I violated their copyright policy, which seems absurd to me. The video was under a minute and simply conveyed my emotions.”

Mallya lamented, “It’s unfortunate that they took away my chance to celebrate and connect with fans. I feel disappointed, and it’s disheartening coming from IPL. That’s just how things go.”

After RCB's long-awaited victory, which came after 18 years, Mallya was visibly emotional, stating, “Eighteen long, long years... I’m at a loss for words,” as he wiped away tears in the now-deleted video.
