As India took to the field to defend a formidable target of 371 runs against England during the final session of Day 4, the atmosphere was electric. A standout moment came from young Indian batsman Shubman Gill, who was caught on camera expressing his fervor with the words:
"Beh*****d g**d phad deni hai" β a passionate declaration that quickly went viral.
This fiery remark showcased the determination of the Indian team, especially following impressive innings from KL Rahul (137) and Rishabh Pant (118), which helped India amass a total of 371 runs.

England's Chase for Victory
India has set England a challenging target of 371 runs to win the first Test at Headingley, after being bowled out for 364 in their second innings late on Day 4.
England's opening pair, Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett, approached their innings cautiously, finishing the day at 21 without loss after six overs. They now need 350 runs on the final day.
Historically, India has a strong record when defending large totals, having lost only once when needing to defend over 350 runs, although that defeat occurred in England. In 2022, England successfully chased down 378 at Edgbaston during the early days of the Bazball era under Brendon McCullum and Ben Stokes, losing three wickets in the process.
India was in a strong position for most of Day 4, with KL Rahul scoring 137 and Rishabh Pant contributing 118, marking his second century of the match. Pant is now tied for the record of most Test centuries (4) by an England wicketkeeper.
However, after Rahul's dismissal, the Indian batting lineup collapsed. From a solid position of 333/4, India was all out for 364 in just 71 balls, with the lower order adding only 31 runs.
Josh Tongue, nicknamed "The Mop," cleaned up the tail, taking three wickets in four balls, including Thakur, Siraj, and Bumrah, finishing with figures of 3 for 72.
With the match finely poised, all eyes are now on Day 5, which promises to deliver a thrilling conclusion.
