Shubman Gill Achieves Remarkable Captaincy Feat
In a significant achievement, Shubman Gill, the captain of Gujarat Titans (GT), has entered the prestigious list of batters who have scored over 500 runs in multiple Indian Premier League (IPL) seasons. This milestone was reached during a match against his former team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), at Eden Gardens, where he scored an impressive 85 runs off 49 balls, featuring five fours and seven sixes, achieving a strike rate of 173.47.
Throughout this IPL season, Gill has played 12 matches, accumulating 552 runs with an average of 46.00 and a strike rate of 160.46, including five half-centuries. He currently ranks as the second-highest run-scorer, trailing his opening partner Sai Sudharsan by just three runs, who has 554 runs, including a century and six fifties.
