Former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan has expressed his admiration for Shweta Sehrawat, highlighting her impressive development as both a player and a leader. He is optimistic that this young all-rounder will achieve new heights in the Women's Premier League (WPL).

Currently representing UP Warriors in the ongoing WPL season, Sehrawat has shown consistent improvement in her game. She scored 108 runs in the 2024 season and followed it up with 119 runs in 2025.

Dhawan, who is a co-owner of the South Delhi Superstars franchise in the Delhi Premier League (DPL), stated in a press release, 'Shweta has made remarkable strides as a player and a leader. Under her captaincy, the South Delhi Superstars clinched the DPL title, demonstrating her ability to perform under pressure.'

He added, 'We wish her a bright future with UP Warriors and hope she maintains this winning mentality to secure the WPL trophy as well.'

Sehrawat had an outstanding performance in the 2025 Delhi Premier League, leading the South Delhi Superstars to victory. She played a match-winning innings of 110 runs in the final, marking her highest score in the tournament.
