Shashank Singh's Incredible Six Stuns Fans During IPL 2025 Match

A Jaw-Dropping Moment in IPL 2025

During an exhilarating IPL 2025 match on May 4, 2025, Punjab Kings (PBKS) co-owner Preity Zinta was left in awe as Shashank Singh launched a colossal six off Mayank Yadav that soared out of the stadium. This thrilling moment occurred in Dharamsala during the clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

The remarkable event took place in the 17th over of PBKS's innings when Mayank bowled a short delivery down the leg side. Shashank executed a perfect shot, sending the ball over deep backward square leg. The ball's trajectory was so miscalculated that it struck the roof of a nearby two-story building before flying out of the stadium, prompting a brief pause in the game to replace the ball.

Shashank, retained for Rs. 5.5 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, showcased his talent once again, scoring an impressive 33* off just 15 balls, which included one six and four fours. Throughout the season, he has played 11 innings, accumulating 210 runs at a striking rate of 140.93.

Punjab Kings amassed a formidable total of 236/5, largely due to the explosive performance of opener Prabhsimran Singh, who scored 91 runs off 48 balls, hitting seven sixes and six fours at an astonishing strike rate of 189.58.

Captain Shreyas Iyer and Josh Inglis also made significant contributions, scoring 30 off 14 and 45 off 25 balls, respectively. Both Marcus Stoinis and Shashank remained not out, with Stoinis scoring 15 off 5 balls and Shashank 33 off 15 balls. For LSG, Akash Singh and Digvesh Rathi each took two wickets, while Prince Yadav added one to the tally.
