Shakib Al Hasan Returns to PSL

Shakib Al Hasan, the star all-rounder from Bangladesh, has been signed by Lahore Qalandars for the ongoing season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 10). After a nearly five-month break from cricket, Shakib is set to return to the field as the PSL resumes on May 17, following a pause due to heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.

As reported by local news sources, Shakib has confirmed his involvement in PSL 10. This marks his third appearance in the league, having previously played for Karachi Kings in 2016 and Peshawar Zalmi in 2017, making it nearly nine years since his last match in the PSL.

In the Lahore Qalandars, Shakib will be joined by fellow Bangladeshi player Rishad Hossain. Currently, the team is positioned fourth in the PSL 10 standings, having secured 9 points from 9 matches.

Shakib's most recent participation was in the Abu Dhabi T10 League, where he represented the Bangla Tigers. His last international match took place during the Asia Cup in September, and he also missed the Champions Trophy.

Recently, Shakib faced scrutiny regarding his bowling action during a Surrey County Championship game. Although he had previously failed the reassessment test twice, he successfully cleared it on his third attempt in March, allowing him to bowl again.
