West Indies opener Shai Hope has once again captured attention with his outstanding unbeaten century, leading his team to a six-wicket victory over India in the second T20I of the five-match series held at the JSCA International Complex Stadium in Ranchi on October 9.
In pursuit of a challenging target of 250 runs set by India, Hope delivered a phenomenal innings, scoring 102 runs off just 45 balls. He formed a pivotal 120-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Sherfane Rutherford, who contributed 84 runs, and followed it up with an unbroken 74-run stand for the fifth wicket alongside Romario Shepherd, who scored 34 off 13 balls. This victory marked the West Indies' highest successful chase in T20I history.
Hope's innings included 6 fours and 9 sixes, achieving an impressive strike rate of 226.67 while remaining not out, showcasing his exceptional batting skills.

Shai Hope's performance during the ongoing white-ball series against India has been nothing short of spectacular. Despite a slow start in the ODI series, where he managed only 12 runs in the first match, he rebounded strongly with two centuries in subsequent games. His unbeaten 162 in the final ODI helped the West Indies chase down a daunting target of 352 runs with ten balls to spare.
Continuing his momentum into the T20I series, Hope scored 52 runs in the first match, followed by his remarkable 102 in Ranchi, leveling the series.
