He scored a resilient 70* in the second unofficial Test and took eight wickets across the series, solidifying his case for a first-time call-up to the senior national team.

Background of Saransh Jain

Hailing from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Saransh Jain grew up immersed in cricket, influenced by his father, Subodh Jain, a former first-class cricketer. Saransh made his first-class debut for Madhya Pradesh in December 2024 against Tamil Nadu and had previously debuted in T20 and List A formats.

He gained national attention during the 2021/22 Ranji Trophy season, where he took 13 wickets in the knockout stages, helping Madhya Pradesh secure their first title. Last season, he excelled with 518 runs, including a century and three half-centuries, alongside 30 wickets, establishing himself as a top all-rounder.

Recent Achievements

In the Duleep Trophy, Saransh scored 136 runs and claimed 16 wickets, earning the Player of the Series award. His outstanding performances led to his selection for the India A squad, where he continued to impress, ultimately earning his place in the Indian Test team for the series against Sri Lanka.
