Samson's innings, which included seven boundaries and six sixes, came off just 52 deliveries, allowing CSK to chase down the 156-run target in a swift 17.3 overs, significantly enhancing their net run-rate.

Delhi Capitals, opting to bat first on a challenging pitch, managed to post a total of 155 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

Akeal Hosein, the West Indies left-arm spinner, made an early impact with the ball, achieving figures of 1/19 and delivering 14 dot balls.
