Sanjana Ganesan Shares Heartwarming Moment of Son Angad with Jasprit Bumrah's Five-Wicket Ball

A Special Moment Captured

Sanjana Ganesan, wife of Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah, recently shared a touching image on Instagram featuring their son, Angad. This post coincided with Bumrah's impressive five-wicket haul during the first Test against England at Headingley. In her Instagram Story, Ganesan showcased a photo of Angad holding a red cricket ball, which had 'England' and 'Jasprit Bumrah' written on it, along with his bowling statistics of '24.4-5-83-5'.

Bumrah's Performance Highlights

Bumrah expressed his thoughts on the pitch conditions, stating, 'At this moment, it's a pretty good wicket to bat on. It's a bit two-paced, but there are no major issues with the surface. The new ball will swing due to the weather, which is expected in Test cricket. We aim to set a substantial total for a comfortable lead.'

He also reflected on the challenges of the game, saying, 'For a moment, it can be tough, but you can't dwell on it. You have to keep moving forward. I try not to overthink and quickly forget setbacks, especially since everyone is still adapting to the game.'

Bumrah's Bowling Stats

In the match at Leeds, Bumrah was the standout bowler for India, claiming the wickets of Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Joe Root, Chris Woakes, and Josh Tongue, finishing with figures of 5/83. Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna contributed with 2/122 and 3/128, respectively, as England posted a total of 465, just six runs shy of India's first innings score of 471. Bumrah could have potentially taken more wickets if not for some fielding errors, including six dropped catches.
