Kolkata Open Mixed Doubles Championship


Sahotra Sengupta and Nan Kargahi clinched the Intermediate Mixed Doubles title at the Kolkata Open, part of the Indian Pickleball Association-PWR 400 series, on May 2. The duo triumphed over Megotsolie Khate and Elona Ayemi with a score of 11-8 in a tightly contested final. Their performance was marked by composure and strategic play, allowing them to maintain a slight edge throughout the match.


In the semifinal, Sahotra and Nan showcased their skills by defeating Aayush Poddar and Dipti Srivastava, also with an 11-8 scoreline. Their tactical discipline and ability to apply pressure during critical points were key to their success in reaching the final.


On the other hand, Megotsolie and Elona advanced to the final after overcoming Mudit Bhagat and Aditi Nahata, demonstrating their attacking prowess and determination. Despite their spirited effort, they were unable to overcome the steadiness of Sahotra and Nan in the championship match.
