In a remarkable feat, Sahibzada Farhan has become the first Pakistani cricketer to smash 100 sixes in a single calendar year during the tri-nation T20I series against Sri Lanka. This achievement places him as the 12th player globally to reach this milestone. In a thrilling match on Saturday, Farhan delivered an outstanding performance, scoring an unbeaten 80 runs off just 45 balls, which included six fours and five sixes, achieving a strike rate of 177.77. With this innings, he has now hit a total of 102 sixes in T20 matches this year, trailing only Australia's Karanbir Singh (122) and West Indies' Nicholas Pooran (103).

Farhan has also matched Karanbir and Pooran for the most fifty-plus scores in T20s this year, with each player recording 15 such scores. His impressive tally includes four centuries and 11 fifties, while Karanbir has two centuries and 13 fifties, and Pooran has one century and 14 fifties. Notably, Farhan's 80* is now the highest individual score for Pakistan against Sri Lanka, surpassing Shoaib Malik's previous record of 57 runs set during the ICC T20 World Cup in 2007.
