CSK's Current Performance in IPL 2026
CSK Struggling in IPL 2026
Under Ruturaj's captaincy, CSK has faced challenges this season, securing only three wins out of eight matches, placing them sixth in the points table. The five-time IPL champions began their campaign with a heavy loss to the Rajasthan Royals and suffered another defeat against the Punjab Kings. A subsequent loss to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru added to their woes. CSK finally achieved their first victory against the Delhi Capitals, followed by a win over the Kolkata Knight Riders. However, they could not maintain momentum, losing to the Sunrisers Hyderabad and facing a significant 103-run defeat against the Mumbai Indians. In their latest match, the Gujarat Titans easily chased down a target of 159 runs, with Shubman Gill's team reaching the goal in just 16.4 overs. CSK must win their remaining matches to secure a playoff spot without relying on other teams' results, with their next game against the Mumbai Indians scheduled for May 2.
