How RCB Clinched the IPL 2025 Title
In pursuit of the title, RCB set a formidable target of 190 runs for 9 in their allotted 20 overs, thanks to significant contributions from their star players. Virat Kohli anchored the innings with a steady 43 runs off 35 balls, while Rajat Patidar added a brisk 26 runs off 16 balls, providing a crucial boost. Liam Livingstone also contributed with a valuable 26 runs, helping RCB maintain their momentum.
Kohli's experience was evident as he led the charge, despite facing challenges in settling down. The innings concluded with an explosive cameo from Jitesh Sharma, who scored 24 runs off just 10 balls, propelling the total close to the 190-run mark.
For Punjab Kings, Arshdeep Singh (3/40) and Kyle Jamieson (3/48) were the standout bowlers, applying pressure with timely wickets to keep the chase in check. Nevertheless, RCB's batsmen remained composed to set a challenging target.
Punjab Kings started their chase strongly with an aggressive opening partnership between Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh. However, crucial wickets at pivotal moments hampered their progressβPriyansh was dismissed for 24, followed shortly by Prabhsimran with 26.
