Vadodara: The Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured their second title in the Women's Premier League by defeating the Delhi Capitals by six wickets on Thursday.
Chasing a formidable target of 204 runs, RCB achieved their goal in just 19.4 overs, propelled by an outstanding partnership between captain Smriti Mandhana, who scored 87 runs off 41 balls, and Georgia Voll, who contributed 79 runs off 54 balls. Together, they set a new record with a 165-run partnership for the second wicket.
On the other hand, the Delhi Capitals had set a competitive score of 203 for four, thanks to solid performances from Laura Wolvaardt, who made 44 runs off 25 balls, and captain Jemimah Rodrigues, who scored 57 runs off 37 balls.
This defeat marked the fourth consecutive loss for the Delhi Capitals in WPL finals.
