RCB Triumphs in IPL Final
Ahmedabad: In a thrilling conclusion to the IPL season, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured their first-ever title with a dramatic 6-run victory over Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
This long-awaited win has brought immense joy to RCB fans nationwide, marking a historic moment for the franchise.
During the chase for 191 runs, Punjab faced a significant setback when Nehal Wadhera was dismissed on the first ball of the 17th over. Stoinis entered the game at 136/5, needing 55 runs from 22 balls, and hit a six on his first delivery.
However, Bhuvi quickly retaliated, catching the edge of the Australian batter's bat, which shifted momentum back to RCB.
Having finished second in the points table after the group stage, RCB made a strong comeback to reach their first IPL final in nine years, defeating the top-ranked Punjab Kings by eight wickets in Qualifier 1. Punjab, on the other hand, rebounded in Qualifier 2, overpowering Mumbai Indians to set up a rematch for the championship.
RCB batted first, scoring 190 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
