RCB Triumphs in IPL Final

Royal Challengers Bangalore has secured their inaugural IPL championship by defeating Punjab Kings in the final match. With this victory, RCB has claimed the trophy and a prize money of ₹20 crores.

However, the winning team does not receive the entire prize amount due to applicable taxes. RCB will receive ₹14 crores after tax deductions from the IPL prize money.

Punjab Kings, led by Preity Zinta, finished as the runners-up in the tournament. They will be awarded ₹13 crores in prize money, but like the winners, they will also face a 30% tax deduction. Consequently, Punjab Kings will need to pay ₹3.90 crores in taxes, leaving them with ₹9.10 crores.
